Let Summer Come Over

Let Summer Come Over

Since the past few days, it’s really been cold. I can barely see Mr. Sun and this makes me miss the warmest season of the year, summer. So, I remembered this excursion we had at a beach resort (can’t remember the name) at Dumaguete City, Negros Occidental, Philippines last May 2011. Yeah right, so long ago but that was one of my great trips. I decided to post about it then.

I do love to go to various places for pleasure. Seeing scenic views was part of it while passing through the road to our destination.

We didn’t actually had the exact place to stay because when we went at the city, we just explored and sought for the spot which would be just right for us. That was such an adventure!

I really loved the shining rays coming from the sun, the pacifying flow of the water, and the picturesque vista from afar. What’s more, the sleeveless shirt, the swimwear, and the knitted dress as my beach outfit pieces gave me that cozy look. Everything felt so summer!

Two versions of buko halo and a banana split. Who would ever pass up foods in situations like that. Chow down sessions were still part of the experience.

That was me playing with the water again and another me sitting near the dirty area on the shore. Let’s just admit it, not every place is perfect. It’s up to you on how you would spend the moment to make it fun and memorable.

My vintage camera necklace. This is already gone.

I forgot what mall this is. We went there to eat lunch before we leave Dumaguete.

While we were on our way home, we saw this weird coconut tree which has two trunks so we stopped and took a photo. Nature truly has its own way to amaze us.

But hey! I really miss get-ups for beach getaways so, summer, please come over.

Play on a Sunday

Play on a Sunday

Sundays are a great time to spend with your family especially when it’s done in a youthful way no matter what generation you are.

Play on a Sunday

It was the first Sunday of the year 2013 and seemed to be really a good start. For that day, I wore a Panama hat because I was expecting a sunny weather but it was actually drizzly when we got there but it still suited the condition though. I tucked my violet printed blouse into my beige high-waist bloomer shorts. The animal print Havaianas slippers I put on is owned by my friend for we temporarily exchanged Havies. This kind of footwear is appropriate for the place because it has a lightweight material that let me walk around without getting tired. Also, I accessorized myself with gold collar necklace and an orange with gold bangle. Yes, I chose colors that pop out to have a fun look.

Campuestohan Highland Resort. By the way, this is the name of the place. It is located at the borders of Bacolod City and Talisay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. And since I’m talking about my day in a child-friendly place, I included photos of my 6-year-old cousin.

Seesaw, swing, and all the other play equipments! I was living like a kiddo again as I enjoyably bonded with him.

We also took pictures with some of the superheroes’ and cartoon characters’ statues. I actually cannot recognize some of them anymore because with my age now, I’m not fond of watching kiddie shows.

It also feels like you’re in a Christmas town since they also put up structures such as Christmas tree, Santa Claus on his sleigh with the reindeers, and more.

And who had a Cinderella moment on this place leaving a giant slipper instead of a shoe? Just kidding.

It can also be a relaxing place because it has a calming ambiance of nature.

The resort’s amenities are really good and make it the city’s tourist attraction. They’re still developing additional features that we should look forward to this place. Hopefully when I come back, I’ll be staying overnight at their unique cottages. That, I think, will double the fun!

Okay! So this is at a beach resort in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. We went there to celebrate the 22nd birthday of our friend last November 25, 2012.

And what do we need as we saunter through the sand? Simply slippers, my favorite footwear which is the kind I mostly put on with my casual outfits because I feel very comfortable with it especially during days with long walks outdoors. All of us got the Havaianas brand and the one in light blue is mine.

That day, I wore visible-pocket shorts which is one of the sample items for what I’m selling online (visit Fashion Excavation). Also, tucking the half of the see-through button-down blouse is a complementary way of wearing it with the shorts. It has a tiny touch of red on its pattern so I decided to wear the red sunglasses. And the bracelet which you might think is made of three separate ones is actually a necklace that I just twisted twice.

A supposed-to-be-jump shot. Haha! I really had fun though we could not get the right pose because being with my friends always brings a dose of happiness.

We also took pleasure in island hopping and went for a dip in this deep level of the sea. FUN!
