Now, I could make my models move! Drawing a vertical straight line parallel with the height of the figure, diagonal lines on the shoulders, bust area, waist, and hips as well as other keen techniques of the imaginative mind are some points to consider in illustrating this way. It’s getting more exciting because those sketches are already on runway mode wherein the croquis ¬†are doing the catwalk and showing off fashion poses. I feel like the only thing that’s missing is the outfit. Well, it’s another lesson to look forward to.

So here’s the male figure on a lateral view using the 9 heads. I think I’m better with manly faces than the feminine ones. Nevertheless, I have to work on improving my sketch of a woman’s face.

In our Basic Illustration class last Monday, 17th of June, we were made to draw a man’s front and back figure using 9 Heads. I usually create fashion sketches for ladies’ wear so I’m not used to doing it. And I admit, this class activity was a bit hard for me but at least I tried. Just don’t mind the missing organ. Haha!
